Thrift Shop Announcements

We hope this week's sunshine finds you all cleaning out your closets and garages.  We currently have room in our furniture department for larger furniture pieces.  Come consign those items you no longer need and help others in the process.  Our Thrift Shop profits go to help Military children with college scholarships and other military needs here at Fairchild.

Regular business hours are Tuesdays from 12:00pm-6:00pm; Wednesdays & Thursdays from 10:00am-2:00pm.

Furniture Consignments

We now have space for furniture consignments. This space fills up quickly so if you have any large items get them in soon. Customers are consistently asking for dressers and bookcases. If you have either of these top-selling items you'd like to consign come in this week!

Customers are also seeking women's and girl's holiday dresses, holiday decorations, tools, dvd's, current-release books, video games and snowsuits for children.

Remember what you no longer need or use could be just what someone else is looking for!

General Notes

A couple of things to know…

  1. As is policy, any consignment checks over 90 days old are automatically donated back to the Thrift Shop.
  2. Volunteer hours for 2010 have been calculated – a copy is on file with the OSCF board
  3. We changed our constitution last year –a copy is on file with the OSCF board

There is more than one way to support the Thrift Shop. If you are unable to volunteer, consider the many other ways you can help support our charity-generating organization.

SHOP: It's the easiest way to help out! If you are new to thrift shopping, ours is the place to begin. With the majority of items under $5.00, you are sure to get hooked on the thrill of the bargain!

CONSIGN: Without consignors we would have virtually no merchandise to sell. Consignors are a vital piece of the Thrift Shop pie. Consider consigning your gently used items and make a profit in the process. See the Thrift Shop page of the OSC website for more details.

PROMOTE: Spread the word! Word of mouth is an invaluable tool in increasing our business. Know someone who is looking for an item or has items to sell? Send them our way!

SUPPORT EACH OTHER: Consider offering to watch another mom's child so she can come in to volunteer. By helping someone else to volunteer, you are in turn helping us!

Consignor Payment Information

Checks for items sold in the previous month are available for pick-up after the 7th of each month. Information on checks cannot be given over the phone.
